The Emergency Services Times will host an online webinar, ‘When the money runs out: Why emergency services should be concerned about local authority insolvency’, on February 15th 2024, 2pm, featuring guest speakers; Professor Pete Murphy, Professor of Public Policy and Management, Nottingham Trent University and Stuart Hoddinott, Senior Researcher, Institute for Government. The discussion will explore current financial difficulties experienced by Birmingham and Nottingham Councils who have been put on s114 status, and what impact this has on emergency service operations and delivery.
