ROADMAP is an EU Horizon 2020 project to establish a European ‘doctrine on disaster risk and crisis management’ based on co-operation between the scientific community and disaster risk management authorities. ROADMAP part 1 ran from 2021-2022, resulting in the establishment of the European observatory on disaster risk and crisis management good practices, an online open-source web platform solution explorer that shares data and experiences from stakeholders in disaster risk management. In 2023 ROADMAP 2 was initiated and aims to build a community for the European Observatory of good practices, and facilitate knowledge building through seminars and collaborative workshops to share good practice applicable to multi-risk scenarios. The first Webinar “Practices of Foresight in DRM planning” will take place via zoom on 25th January 2024, 09:00-11:00 GMT.

The aim of this first ROADMAP2 webinar is to provide a forum for practices using foresight techniques to overcome uncertainty and complexity in future disaster outcome factors. The webinar is oriented towards scientific, operational as well as policy experts in the disaster management planning and civil protection. The full webinar agenda is available and participation is free and registration is necessary.
