This article in Civil Society explores and discusses findings from a research project by the National Emergencies Trust and Business in the Community. The project conducted a survey which concluded that over 76% of staff want their companies to take a more active role in national crisis response and facilitate more opportunities to enable staff to volunteer during times of national crisis and emergencies. The survey results were released to support the National Emergencies Trust’s new Appeal Partners Programme launch. The programme is a new initiative to empower partners across business, community and media to leverage their specialist skills and capabilities to amplify emergency fundraising appeals and signpost survivors to appropriate support available from a range of services.
