UKRI has launched a new area of investment and support called “Building a secure and resilient world”. With a budget of approximately £75 million and running from 2023 to 2029, this initiative aims to strengthen security and resilience from individual to national level across a range of social and economic areas at the heart of daily life.
Building a secure and resilient world is one of the new core strategic themes of UKRI. With the aims of;
- strengthening social and economic resilience
- enhancing national security across virtual and physical spaces
- ensuring the UK can absorb adversity, deal with change, and respond to emerging threats and opportunities
