A new policy paper outlines the UK government’s plan to harness the potential of advanced wireless connectivity for the economy and society. It sets out a new policy framework with six key steps to ensure that the UK maximizes the potential of advanced wireless networks over the next decade. These steps include;
- ensuring good connectivity for all,
- setting a bold 2030 ambition for nationwide coverage of standalone 5G to all populated areas,
- strengthening the investment climate,
- realizing the full benefits of 5G and advanced wireless connectivity,
- driving adoption in key economic sectors,
- shaping the development of 6G.
