The UK government has announced the launch of new and enhanced cyber security measures called GovAssure to better protect its IT systems from growing cyber threats. GovAssure will be run by the Government Security Group, part of the Cabinet Office. All central government departments will have their cyber security reviewed annually under more stringent criteria. The aim is to improve cyber resilience and protect essential IT functions from growing threats.
