The NAP Global Network has released a new toolkit for monitoring, evaluation, and learning for National Adaptation Plan (NAP) processes. This toolkit is a joint publication of the NAP Global Network and the Adaptation Committee. It is designed to help guide the development of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) systems for government teams and other stakeholders involved in NAP processes. It includes practical examples and guidance for MEL system development, reflecting different approaches to NAP processes and MEL systems, with practical guidance for developing and continuously improving them, drawing insights from countries worldwide. It emphasises the importance of establishing the purpose of a MEL system and identifying monitoring requirements and resources, regardless of the stage of NAP processes.
