The International Association for the Study of Insurance Economics will host a webinar on 11th December 2023 at 12pm. The webinar will present and discuss the essential findings and messages from the recently published Geneva Association report, The Value of Insurance in a Changing Risk Landscape.

The report highlights the changing nature of risk, with climate and cyber threats presenting a significant challenge to insurability, whilst digitalisation and ESG disclosures drive up intangible risk, making it harder for insurers to pool and redistribute risk. The research included a survey of consumers in the world’s six largest insurance markets, revealing that most are concerned that climate and cyber risks insurance will become too expensive or unavailable. Insurers are responding to this challenge by focusing on providing risk prediction, prevention and post-event services, with over 80% of respondents interested in such provisions.
