The ENGAGE project aims to apply artificial intelligence to public warning systems to enhance societal resilience in disaster management. One of the partners, One2Many, developed a chatbot prototype, based on examples from 45 other chatbots. The Ai chatbot is being used to improve emergency management and societal resilience, by communicating with citizens during emergencies through a cell broadcast message system.

 

The article also discusses the challenges and opportunities of using AI chatbots for emergency management, such as trust, rapidity, effectiveness, fraud, plagiarism, and ethics. The article concludes by highlighting the need for further research and testing of the chatbot prototype with the help of the ENGAGE consortium and its exercises.
