The Local Climate Adaptation Tool (LCAT) is a collaborative effort between the University of Exeter, Cornwall Council, and over 50 local authority areas across the UK. It was developed with input from decision-makers, including councils, health and emergency services. The tool aims to assist local organisations in enhancing their preparedness and response to local climate change, an area that a recent government report has highlighted as not keeping pace with the worsening reality of climate risk.
