This state of the sector report from the Birmingham Voluntary Service Council, highlights key concerns from Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) partners, relating to the ongoing impact of the cost of living crisis on communities and charity services.

The report articulates sector concerns regarding the compounded effect which the cost of living crisis has, on existing inequalities. Demonstrating the impact of our fragmented society on resilience, and assumptions made about capacity in the system. Emphasising, an urgent need, for a long-term focus to address inequalities.
