The Public Health Annual Report 2023: Supporting Communities in Difficult Times is the eleventh annual public health report jointly published by the Local Government Association (LGA) and the Association of Directors of Public Health (ADPH).

The report reflects on the past year and focuses on how councils have responded to the rising cost of living, alongside other key agencies such as the NHS, and the voluntary and community sector. Public health is at the forefront of each local response, with a broad range of measures being delivered to support people under financial pressure. The report emphasises the relationship between economic prosperity and health, and that the links between the two must be more widely understood and addressed through national policy and funding.
