The UK Parliament House of Commons Committee of Public Accounts has published its report, Government Resilience: Extreme Weather. The report sets out seven key recommendations to UK Government to improve the UK’s resilience to extreme weather, focusing on long-term planning and investment, clear resilience targets, and emphasising the need for clear roles and responsibilities across government, private, and voluntary sectors to develop and maintain national resilience. The report highlights the importance of a strategic approach to managing extreme weather risks and the need for coordinated action to strengthen the UK’s resilience. The UK Government has two months to respond to the Public Accounts Committee.
