The Westminster Energy, Environment & Transport Forum with the Policy Forum for London will host an online keynote seminar: Next steps for the Thames Estuary on 15th March 2024, 9am – 1pm.

This conference will focus on the next steps for the Thames Estuary, including proposals to support green growth and development within the context of the Thames Estuary 2100 (TE2100) plan. Policymakers and local stakeholders will discuss strategies for sustainable growth in the region, including priorities for development, the estuary’s potential as a green hydrogen hub, and its future role in the UK’s port and maritime sector. There will also be sessions on flood defences, placemaking, and community connection in developing flood responses, as well as the future of heavy infrastructure projects like the Thames Tideway Tunnel and the Thames Barrier. The event features guest speakers, and delegates will be invited to assess challenges and next steps for local leaders and stakeholders.
