New research from the University of Surrey shows that nature-based solutions can effectively address complex environmental challenges such as climate change, resource security, and environmental hazards in urban areas. The study found that Europe has already embraced these solutions, but communities outside of Europe have yet to fully utilise them to prepare for future uncertainties, risks, and climate change.
