The Fire Reform White Paper set out the UK Government’s Fire and Rescue Service reform vision. Consultation on the White Paper took place between May and July 2022. The consultation sought views on the government’s ideas for reform, building on lessons from an independent inspection concerning national reports and the Grenfell Tower Inquiry. Evidence gathered during the consultation included a stakeholder engagement program with national fire professionals, and additional publications and events to provide further insight into the issues set out in the White Paper, which have further informed the government’s strategy for reform. This latest publication is the Government consultation response to the Fire Reform White Paper which summarises the consultation responses and sets out the government’s strategy for reform.
