The Prime Minister and Technology Secretary have announced a £100 million initial start-up funding for a new expert taskforce. Who will be responsible for accelerating the UK’s capability, in rapidly-emerging strategic artificial intelligence. This comes in addition to the previously announced £900 million investment, into its supporting supercomputing technology and processing infrastructure. The investments are intended to help cement the UK’s position as a science and technology superpower by 2030.
