The European Union Agency for Cyber Security (ENISA) has published its report, Foresight Cybersecurity Threats for 2030, which provides an overview of the ten highest-ranked cyber threats. These threats include supply chain compromise, skill shortage, and exploitation of unpatched systems.

The report notes that the threat of a skill shortage has risen significantly, highlighting the need for organisations to develop talent and bridge the educational gap in cybersecurity. In addition, the rise of digital surveillance authoritarianism and the abuse of AI are noted as significant concerns, due to the increasing reliance on AI and the potential loss of privacy. Overall, ENISA aims to provide expertise on future cybersecurity challenges, with the foresight report serving as a tool to understand the current threat landscape and improve preparedness.
