The Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) has launched a new tool called the Copernicus Interactive Climate Atlas. The tool is designed to help policymakers easily visualise climate change information. This new resource builds on the Interactive Atlas of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC-IA), a trusted source of information on past trends and future changes for climate variables. This tool allows users to conduct global and regional assessments of past trends and future changes in key variables and indices. They can choose different periods or policy-relevant global warming scenarios, such as the 1.5° or 2° thresholds in the Paris Agreement, or higher thresholds. Users can also customise products e.g., maps or time series, generating temporally or spatially aggregated values for seasons, periods, and regions of interest.
