The British Geological Survey press office has announced the appointment of Professor Jonathan Chambers as the new Chief Scientist for multi-hazards and resilience. Based at BGS’s Keyworth, Nottingham head offices, the new Chief Scientist will oversee the delivery of scientific research into risk mitigation and adaption to geological and associated environmental hazards.
