The School of International Futures has published a set of practical steps intended to advance resilience through participatory governance and foresight, based on the insights from the National Preparedness Commission’s latest report, Making it Happen: Encouraging Government Action on Preparedness and Resilience, by Chair, Lord Toby Harris. The practical steps include the systemic integration of foresight, adoption of futures-based legislation, such as the wellbeing of Future Generations Act (2015) in Wales, inclusive policy-making, and use of tools like the Intergenerational Fairness Assessment.
