New research finds that stronger democracies have seen fewer excess deaths during Covid-19

A recent study by UCL researchers explored the link between the strength of democratic governance and excess Covid-19 death rates across countries. The study found that, generally, countries with stronger democratic governance have seen fewer excess deaths during the pandemic.
